Diogo Martins is an actor, writer and producer, born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal. His Gypsy soul and artistic aspirations would bring him to New York where he resided for over 9 years. After receiving his MFA in acting from The Actors Studio Drama School, Diogo worked extensively in the theatre in New York City. He is currently the Co-Artistic Director of Saudade Theatre, a non-profit organization solely devoted to the production of Portuguese stories in the United States. Diogo was last seen in Saudade and The Frigid’s acclaimed co-production of Mickäel de Oliveira’s “The Constitution”. With the Actors Theatre, Diogo proudly gave life to Moony in their immersive production of “Tennessee on Hudson” at The Box. Besides his theatrical work, Diogo was the narrator of the audio version of José Saramago’s “Skylight” and has been involved in a number of independent projects both in the US and his home country. He now splits his time between Lisbon and New York.
