Mark Borkowski is an award winning playwright whose work has been staged from coast to coast. Some recent productions include HOLD, SOMEPLACE STRANGE, 11/9 (Collective NY), THE GODLING (Theatre Camden, UK), THE DAUGHTERS OF EVE (Cherry Lane), TWILIGHT’S CHILD (Playwright’s Horizons), THE HEAD HUNTER (Abington Theatre) and many others. His plays have been workshopped at The Actors Studio, The Labyrinth Theatre Company, The Collective NY, The Lark, The Barefoot, The Squat Theatre and New Playwrights of Los Angeles. Publications include: “A Gravedigger’s Tale” (Best One Acts of 2009), “Don’t Listen To What It Sounds Like” (“Best One Acts of 2007”), “Shadow Saint”, “Dead Monkey”, “Savage Ink”, "11/9" and "Someplace Strange" (Collective NY). He is currently developing his play “Valentino’s Wing” at The Actors Studio with Ellen Burstyn directing. As a screenwriter his award-winning feature “The Perfect Witness” was on SHOWTIME and is available on DVD worldwide. As an actor, he's worked on stage, film and TV since his late teens. TV/FILM: He’s worked in over 40 films, most notably “The Perfect Witness” for which he won Best Actor at the Portugal Film Festival and “Cost of a Soul” for which he won the Arrow Award. On TV, he’s best known as Paul Sagorsky on HBO’s award winning “Boardwalk Empire” and Ted Barnes in “House of Cards”. He’s also appeared on hit shows “Blue Bloods”, “Billions”, “BlindSpot” and many others. Mark is a lifetime member of The Actors Studio.
