Miguel Anaya

Director of Photography

Miguel Anaya is a Mexican-American artist born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. Miguel studied photography at ICP at The Point in the Bronx, New York. He is recipient of a Jocelyne Benzakin Fellowship and a Howard Chapnick Grant, and in 2010 he became an alumni of the Eddie Adams Photography Workshop #XXIII. He is one of the founding members of the NYC Bridge Project, an organization that provides leadership and resources to urban youth interested in storytelling through photography. Miguel is currently working on a portrait project related to Mexican immigration in the 21st Century. Miguel also has an extensive background in performance and has danced with world-renowned dance companies such as White Oak Dance Project, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane, Liz Gerring, Stephanie Batten Bland Dance, Other Shore Dance and ‘Sleep no More’ Punchdrunk. He was the assistant choreographer to Bill T. Jones on the Tony-Award winning production of Spring Awakening in 2007
